Pier Luigi Ferrari born in Seville (Spain) from Italian parents, begin his artistic career in the jazz music area, playing in many groups among which: Paolino Della Porta, Attilio Zanchi, Riccardo Luppi, Massimo Colombo, Julius Farmer, Cristian Meyer, Mark Harris. HLater he became a demonstrator and endorser of prestigious brands such as: Fender, Yamaha, Washburn, and published didactic articles and transcriptions for specialized magazines, also releasing interviews (Guitar Club - Guitars). Many artists with whom he collaborated both on tour and in the studio including: Eugenio Finardi, Fabio Concato, Faust'O, Marco Ferradini, Kaballa, Laura Fedele, Luca Jurman, Toni Melillo. Parallel to the activity of sideman, he performs with different groups, alternating in various genres such as, soul, funky blues and reggae and also devotes himself to the study of classical guitar following the teaching of the maestro Mauro Storti. In 2000 he published the cd "Tangueria" in duo with the guitarist Carlo Montoli and in 2001 he collaborated with Daniel Pacitti in the realization of an Argentine version of the opera "Carmen". In 2007 he recorded and participated in the production of the Argentine group's cd "Tango Tinto", and in 2008 he published  "Bassamarea" dedicated to modern contaminations of tango and in 2009 with the "Latinfive quintet" he recorded and produced a cd dedicated to latinjazz and cuban music. In 2010 he performed in some concerts with the "Hispanoamericano choir", and in the live cd "Todas Las Voces". In 2011 he performed the Aranjuez concert with a string ensemble and participated in the Menaggio guitar festival with a tribute to Django Reinhardt. For several years he has performed with the Red House trio (Hendrix tribute) with Guido Block and Sergio Pescara, and has dedicated himself to Argentine music playing in concert only and in various formations with: Carlo Montoli, Manuela Ravaglioli, Annamaria Musajo, Sergio Lavia, Franco Finocchiaro, Martin Troncozo, Hernan Fassa, Daniel Pacitti. Founding member of the Italian-Swiss group Swingpower who re-reads the Italian song of the 30 and 40 in a jazz manouche style, participating in important festivals and making two cd's, the latest of which is dedicated to Mailand's songwriters. He recently participated in some blues festivals with the blues singers Kay Foster and Shanna Waterstown and released his latest solo cd "Notturno" with original compositions for classical guitar.
